Bentota/Beruwala

Bentota Beach, located on the island’s southwest shore, has long been a favorite beach destination. This lovely and lengthy stretch of beach is great for both relaxing and family vacations.

Water sports such as jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, windsurfing, and towing activities are also popular at the beach. Perhaps the greatest location for a variety of watersports in Sri Lanka. There are several stores along the beach and in the city that sell snorkeling and scuba diving equipment.

Bentota is a great place to visit all year, but the best time to enjoy for watersports is between October and April.

Beruwala Beach is close to Bentota Beach, which is also a famous beach destination. The beaches are also popular honeymoon and wedding locations.
