Madu River
The Madu Ganga river estuary is a complex coastal ecosystem protected by the International Ramsar Convention. Madu Ganga is Sri Lanka’s biggest preserved mangrove swamp, and it is home to a variety of fish and reptile species. The river travels across topography, forming 64 islands in the river.
Negombo Lagoon
The boat ride follows the Hamilton Canal, which was built by the Dutch and then reinforced by the British in 1802. The mangrove swamp, fishing village, and fishing harbor are the highlights of the boat excursion.
