Brassware is quite popular in Sri Lanka, and practically every family owns at least one piece of brassware. Traditional oil lamps, which come in a variety of styles, are essential. They are used in all inauguration ceremonies as well as special events.
Other well-known items include elephant sculptures, bells, small decorations, candleholders, vases, and Buddha and deity figurines.
