Independence Day

Sri Lanka celebrates Independence Day on February 4th to commemorate the country’s internal political independence from British rule on that date in 1948. And it is the day for paying tribute to the forefathers of the land for their glorious feat. The major celebration is held in Colombo,
and it includes flag-hoisting, dances, parades, and military performances.
