Itinerary

Day 1

Meet and assist at Colombo Airport and transfer to your hotel in Negombo – One of the oldest and biggest fishing ports on the island and the most popular beach destination close to the airport.

In the afternoon, visit Historical St. Mary’s Church, Fish Market, Dry Fish Market and Old Dutch Fort (2hrs) – A chance to experience the typical village lifestyle and get a glimpse of the colonial architecture present even today.

In the evening, Leisure at the Beach.

Day 2

After breakfast, leave for Sigiriya – A small village that famous for the ruins of an ancient stronghold Sigiriya Rock Fortress. On the way, simply stroll through a Village (20min) – A peaceful atmosphere with paddy fields and rubber plantations.

In the afternoon, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress (2hrs) – One of the best-preserved examples of ancient architecture with colorful frescoes. Admire the architectural marvel of the 5th century A.D.

In the evening, experience of Sri Lankan Ayurveda Full Body Massage (1hr) – The natural way of feeling great.

Day 3

Early in the morning, Jeep Safari at Minneriya National park (3hrs) – The place for witness the largest Asian elephant gathering during June to September. Afterward, leave for Kandy – The cultural heart, last capital, and today the second largest city of Sri Lanka. On the way, visit Spice and Herbal Gardens (1hr 30min) – Learn how the world’s best spices are made in Sri Lanka. This is an ideal place for those who want to witness the cooking demonstration and authentic taste of Lankan rice and curry.

In the evening, witness the Cultural Dance Show (1hr) – which is the national dance of Sri Lanka that showcases ancient culture, tradition and rituals of the country.

Day 4

Early in the morning, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic (1hr) – One of the highly venerated temples by the Buddhists around the world. And, learn the basics of Buddhist Meditation (30min) – The Buddha taught many different types of meditation, each designed to overcome a particular problem or to develop a particular psychological state. Afterwards, Kandy City Tour and Shopping (2hrs) – Walking around the Kandy Lake and picturesque surroundings. Sri Lanka has an extensive variety of gems, jewelry and handicrafts which represent the richly craftsmanship tradition tracing back as long as the nation’s existence. Kandy View Point (Arthur’s Seat) (20min) – The place for an amazing panoramic view of the city.

In the afternoon, visit Nuwara Eliya by Train (4hrs) – The capitol of Ceylon Tea. The train goes through misty mountain ranges, pine forests, tea plantations and remote villages.

Day 5

In the morning, walk around the scenic Gregory Lake (45min), and visit for City Walk (1hr) – The best place to relax yourself feeling the cool pleasant climate of Sri Lanka. Afterwards, leave for Bentota – One of the finest beaches on the southwest coast. On the way, visit Tea Plantation, Tea Plucking and Factory – Witness the age-old traditional tea plucking and enjoy walking in tea plantations. A trip to the highlands of Sri Lanka is never complete without sipping a cup of Ceylon tea.

Day 6

In the morning, Leisure at the Beach.

In the afternoon, before leaving for Colombo, visit Ambalangoda Mask Factory (45min) – The place where the artisans work their magic on pieces of wood.

Day 7

In the morning, Colombo City Tour (2hrs) – The commercial capital of the country. The sightseeing includes Galle Face Green Ocean-side Urban Park, the busiest Pettah Market for daily needs, Colonial Buildings (The Old Parliament Building, The Town Hall, The Clock Tower, The iconic Cargils Building, The President’s Palace), Seema Malakaya Temple in Beire Lake, the Independence Memorial Hall, the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall and Hindu Temple. Also, visit Colombo National Museum (1hr 30min) – The largest historical museum in the country with a great collection of artifacts.

Afterwards, leave for Colombo Airport for your Departure.
