This unique Sri Lankan dish is a bowl-shaped crusted pancake made with a fermented batter of rice flour and coconut milk. It is quite popular throughout the country. It is often served for breakfast and dinner with spicy chutney.

It comes with an egg as well, called Egg Hopper. Egg Hopper is simply a Hopper that has been cooked with an egg in the center but it is the most popular.
