Milk Rice

Kiribath, or milk rice, is the traditional and the most popular celebration food among the Sinhalese community. It is also the first solid food tasted by a baby. Kiribath is rice cooked in coconut milk. After it’s cooked, set on a platter and cut into diamond shapes. Typically, milk rice is served with spicy chutney. It’s also a traditional breakfast that everyone enjoys.
