In Sinhalese, Pol Roti translates to Coconut Roti. It’s a flatbread made with coconut. This famous flatbread may be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as a snack throughout the day.
It’s also quite easy and quick to make because it doesn’t need any leavening agent. Grated coconut is mixed with flour and a few additional components before being kneaded with water or coconut milk.
It is served with curries, and spicy chutney.
