String Hoppers

Indiappa is a classic Sri Lankan breakfast and supper meal. It’s the same as thin noodles or spaghetti. However, because the rice dough is pressed through a sieve while the sieve is being rotated, the noodles become like a flat and round strand nest.

It is served with curries and Coconut Sambol (a mixture of shredded coconut, red and green chili, onion, lemon, and salt). It can also be stuffed and wrapped with brown sugar and grated coconut.
